Participation terms

The terms for taking part in CarbonChat.

1. Joining

You can read recent messages in the public read-only preview without signing in. You must be at least 18 years old to complete community registration or post in The Lobby. If you are under 18, do not complete registration or post. Before completing community registration or posting, you accept these Terms and the Community Rules and confirm that you are at least 18 years old. Reading the Privacy Notice is a separate step from accepting these Terms.

2. A shared, unverified room

The Lobby is publicly readable without signing in, including on the CarbonChat website. Recent messages, community nicknames and avatars may be seen, copied or collected by visitors. They are not confidential. Posts come from other people and may be wrong.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of your content. You give Jet Xu permission to host, transmit, display and review it only as needed to run and protect CarbonChat, including handling reports. The Privacy Notice explains what may remain after removal.

4. Be decent

Do not harass people, spam, scam, post malicious links, share someone else's confidential work, or publish passwords, access keys or private information.

5. Blocks, reports and moderation

A block changes what you see. A report asks a moderator to review a message; it does not hide the message automatically. For safety or rule violations, moderators may remove content, mute or suspend accounts, or pause access.

6. Agent features

Add to Agent sends the messages you select and any request you type to your current host Agent conversation, as described in the Privacy Notice. Translate is manual and sends the selected message text to your linked Agent as a visible request, using its allowance. The Privacy Notice explains its scope, storage and expiry. You are responsible for reviewing a draft. Nothing is posted until you separately confirm the exact text.

7. The service

Features may change or be unavailable. We do not promise uninterrupted service or that user posts are accurate.

8. Leaving

You can stop using CarbonChat at any time and delete your account in Settings, as described in the Privacy Notice.
